We are looking for a versatile post holder with recent caretaking / campus services experience or similar practical work experience to join our Estate Management team. You could be based at either site or required to work at any other University building across Chichester or Bognor Regis.
This full-time position requires working on a three-week shift pattern rota including weekends. The early shift starts at 6am
and the late shift finishes at 11pm.
You must be flexible, proactive, well organised and motivated with a customer focused, helpful and flexible approach to work. Working with a variety of University Departments, including Cleaning Services and Conference and Accommodation, it is important you can work as part of a team. This role is full time and works on a shift rota basis. Some flexibility will be required to cover operational requirements including staff sickness or increased peaks of activity.
This active and “hands on” role is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a range of Estate Management activities including locking and unlocking buildings, room set ups and basic maintenance in halls of residence and on site working. Ideally, applicants will have the ability to undertake basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing locks, door handles and minor woodwork repairs.
You will provide an efficient and effective service, to ensure that the buildings and campus at both the Bishop Otter and Bognor Regis sites are an appropriate, safe and secure environment for students, staff and all visitors.
This role will involve working outside in all weathers across a large site, daily lifting and moving a range of equipment, checking buildings and working closely with our external security provider.
