Leading financial services business with a prominent industry presence is seeking a first-rate individual to join them in the newly created role of Finance Director.

This business has experienced several consecutive strong years and is presently looking at acquisition opportunities for the near future. Despite the current economic climate, they remain in a strong position and have not furloughed any staff. This role has arisen due to a restructuring within the finance team, resulting in several promotions and this promising opportunity reporting into the CFO. They're setting-up their key finance leads, including this individual, for future succession planning to Executive level. This is a genuinely exciting prospect for a dedicated, career-focused individual.

The role will include management of 3 qualified level Accountants / Team Leaders. It will sit at Board level and be a pivotal role for the company, contributing to key business decisions and aiding them on their continued growth path.

Requirements -

• Highly experienced in preparation of insurance financial accounts under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
• Detailed understanding of Lloyd's reporting requirements
• Highly experienced in Solvency II with deep understanding of the Delegated Regulation
• Strong understanding of UK tax legislation
• Management experience
• Degree, trained with a top firm, and appropriate professional qualification
• Operations of international insurance markets
• Insurance regulation in the UK and internationally as appropriate
• Accounting standards and procedures in the UK and internationally as appropriate
• Business planning
• Investment management
• Risk management techniques
• Staff assessment and development methods
