West Dean is seeking a friendly, welcoming, and highly professional Student Welcome Officer to join our vibrant and creative community. As a Student Welcome Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students, tutors, conference delegates, and visitors, ensuring that everyone who arrives at West Dean receives a warm welcoming. You will greet and register all arrivals, issue room keys, visitor badges, and relevant documentation, and ensure that baggage handling or general assistance is available whenever required. You will also notify the appropriate staff member of each visitor’s arrival or direct them to their destination as needed.

You will respond to a wide variety of enquiries-whether in person, over the phone, or via email-providing accurate information and promoting courses where appropriate. This includes using template responses for general email enquiries and ensuring that all calls into the Foundation are answered promptly, relayed efficiently, and handled with  professionalism.

In addition, you will support customers throughout their visit by responding to individual needs, assisting with room adjustments, answering queries, and helping to resolve concerns or complaints. Keeping your line manager informed of any issues will ensure that the appropriate follow-up action can be taken.
