We’re on the hunt for a visionary Head of Sales to lead our Meetings & Events (M&E) sales function and drive revenue growth across one of the UK’s most iconic estates. This is your chance to shape the future of our M&E business, inspire a talented team, and deliver extraordinary results.

As Head of Sales, you’ll be the driving force behind our commercial success in Meetings & Events. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you’ll lead a team of 3 Business Development Managers and 4 Sales Executives, crafting and executing a bold sales strategy that puts Goodwood at the forefront of the industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Revenue Leadership: Own and evolve the sales strategy to maximise revenue across all M&E channels.
  • Business Development: Hunt down new opportunities with corporate clients, sponsors, and high-value accounts
  • Creative Selling: Build bespoke, innovative propositions that make Goodwood irresistible.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge powerful relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Performance & Reporting: Drive KPIs and report pipeline progress directly to the Commercial Director.
  • Team Empowerment: Lead, coach, and energise your team to achieve greatness.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven success in M&E sales or business development - ideally in sport, hospitality, events, or entertainment.
  • A track record of smashing revenue targets and closing high-value deals.
  • Strategic thinking with a flair for crafting compelling sales narratives.
