The role of Assistant Production Line Supervisor involves assisting in the managing of the production lines to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of staff and equipment to produce a consistent quality product whilst conforming to all the required food manufacturing standards. 

Working in the factory environment there is a requirement based on role to be involved in moving racks and stacking boxes. There is also an element of temperature-based activities within some roles i.e. ovens or freezer proximity, appropriate PPE is provided in all cases as are uniforms and full training is given for all areas of the specific role being undertaken.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Complete the line start up form in the absence of a line supervisor, thereby ensuring all equipment is suitable for food production.
• Check and ensure that all equipment is in good working order, reporting any issues to the engineers.
• Effective operation of equipment to ensure the production line runs efficiently.
• Managing the materials and staff to achieve targeted yields and productivity measures.
• Accurate and timely completion of all required documentation in an eligible manner.
• Adherence to recipes and ensure that the quality of the products meets the required company standards.
• Comply with company health and safety policies and report any issues, including near misses.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping and hygiene at all times, while adopting “Clean as you go” approach, and cleaning of line at end of shift.
• To adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times, which includes food safety, housekeeping and process adherence.
• Where applicable, ensure that CCP’s are correctly managed.
• To perform any other reasonable tasks requested by supervisors and managers.

• Attention to detail and pride.
• Ability to work under own initiative and meet the required standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. English is the language of operation on site.
• Physically able to complete the required tasks effectively.
• Diligent with a good work ethic
