Are you wanting to start your career in Human Resources? If so this could be the role for you. We are looking for an Apprentice to join the Human Resources team. This will require the you to spend one day per week studying whilst working towards completing the apprenticeship, across a period of approximately 18 months.

In the role of an Apprentice you will experience providing administrative and operational support for the Department of Human Resources, delivering a helpful, confidential and professional service to managers, staff and visitors across the University. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of different departmental activities, for example in the areas of professional development and training, equality and diversity, occupational health and wellbeing, staff recruitment activities, induction for new staff, terms and conditions, contractual requirements and payroll. These activities will include the use of emails and monitoring various inboxes, spreadsheets and the HR/Payroll database.

You will need to hold GCSE English and Maths Grade C / 4 or above and demonstrate the desire and tenacity to progress with a career in Human Resources. Good organisational and communication skills are essential for this role as is a proactive approach.

This position is a fixed term contract for approximately 18 months.
