Are you looking to work for a leading UK manufacturing company? My client is seeking experienced Principal / Senior Structural Engineer for a 3 month contract role based in Plymouth.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or closely related discipline • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it is highly desirable for senior roles. • Possess sound knowledge of the design and construction of marine structures, i.e. ships (commercial and naval). • Knowledge of one or more the following areas of expertise is highly desirable:  lift, stress, weight, hydrodynamics, ship motion, stability and/or structural analysis, marine warranty inspections, Oil & Gas topside design / design analysis / structural integrity, moorings and risers (please include in your CV).

The salary rate for this role will be £32.96 – £42.00 per hour, and there will be rate uplifts available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours as well as for nightshift.
