X 2 positions availableApplications are invited for an arthroplasty fellowships for a period of 6 months extendable to 12 months. It is particularly suitable for Senior Orthopaedic trainees wishing to gain further experience in arthroplasty surgery, with a view to seeking a Consultant post with this specialist interest. We anticipate the Fellow will be post FRCS Orth or equivalent. The Fellow will join a team in a busy arthroplasty unit providing a wide range of lower limb arthroplasty experience including hip resurfacing and revision arthroplasty.The Fellow will gain significant clinical experience of primary hip and knee arthroplasty and also, in particular, obtain significant experience in computer navigated knee arthroplasty. The post offers both directly supervised operating and independent operating (with available consultant support) to develop surgical skills.The Fellow will be expected to undertake research projects whilst in the department leading to national and international papers and presentations. Research time and clinic support is included in the Fellows timetable.
