We are working with a top 20 firm of chartered accountants who have seen significant growth this past year. They are recruiting an Employment Tax Specialist, looking for the next challenge in their career. This is a new role, with responsibilities extending across multiple offices. These include: Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Romsey, Newbury, Heathrow and Guildford.

This person can be based in either the Southampton or Portsmouth office. This is an exciting recruit for the firm and they are looking for someone driven, committed and enthusiastic.

About You:

  • Should be ACA / CTA qualified or equivalent
  • Must have a proven background in UK employment tax
  • Passion for employment tax
  • Possibly looking to strengthen your employer tax or focus from a more generalist tax role
  • Strong experience with tax planning
  • Confident explaining complex tax matters in simple terms
  • Strong multi-tasker
  • Confidence to hit the ground running
  • Strong tax technical knowledge
  • Do your best to stay up to date on tax laws and regulations
  • First class communication and presentation skills

About the role:

  • Work closely with the Employment Tax Director
  • Responsibility for advisory projects of your own
  • Work on client's employment tax matters including P11D's and various consultancy projects
  • Confident cross selling, networking and onboarding new clients
  • Provide employment tax advice and guidance to various business functions
  • Help to structure policies to ensure the employment tax position is optimised
  • Employment tax specialist for several offices
  • Provide advice on tax implications for current/planned rewards and benefits
  • Work with HMRC on behalf of clients
