We are looking for a dynamic, motivated mechanical engineer who is looking for a role they can make their own, you will be responsible for industrialisation, getting products to manufacture, improving / validating processes, you will manage technical supplier relations, particularly with special manufacturing processes, ensuring that products and services meet the requirements of customers and quality standards.

Salary and benefits
The salary is circa £35'000 per annum plus a bonus (although this is non-contractual it has been paid for the last few years). There could be some flexibility on this depending on your experience. What will you be doing?
Part of your role will be to liaise and work with Suppliers to work through issues and non-conforming parts/treatments, developing a specialist knowledge in special manufacturing processes for example anodizing etc. Looking at root cause through to implementation of corrective actions, managing customer changes to products and implementing these into the system.
You would be heavily involved in NPI and ongoing projects. Making sure products and services meet customer requirements, interpret customer docs, BoMs, specifications, drawings, sketch sheets, assembly & test schedules etc.
You would be creating product and tooling definitions, manufacturing information and machine programmes as well as the validation of manufacturing processes.
