My client is a international engineering support services company whose Factories Group currently have a permanent position for a Business Development Manager responsible for identifying developing and securing opportunities to expand the Factories Group presence within internal and external commercial markets.

You will require the following skills and experience:-

A proven track record of winning new business in one or more of the following markets Defence, Marine, Civil Nuclear either externally or from an internal business development position. The post holder is expected to lead the Business Development activities for the Factory Group and set high professional standards, and demonstrate tact, diplomacy and the spirit of collaboration. The post holder must have sound knowledge of commercial and engineering standards and operation principles. Ideally educated to degree level within either a business or relevant engineering discipline.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:-

Managing the development of appropriate marketing materials and identify trade exhibitions to attend to increase Babcock's profile and potentially co-ordinate support from other areas within Babcock business. The post holder will need to work closely with other Business Development and Factory Group Managers to identify relevant capabilities from existing areas of its business which have to-date been predominantly focussed on the MoD Maritime market.
